Over the past two decades, SmithDavidson Gallery has been a leading proponent in the field of Modern and Contemporary Australian Art. With this in mind, we felt it time to once again organise two lectures about this intriguing and unique art movement. The first lecture was on May 30, if you have not yet applied for tomorrow's lecture, you can do so now!
During the lecture you will receive an extensive introduction about the background, emergence and symbolism of Australian Indigenous Art. After which you will be able to view the exhibition 'Dreaming with your Eyes Open', with works by, among others, Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri, Emily Kame Kngwarrye, Barbara Weir and Paddy Nyunkuni Bedford.
The lecture will be given by our expert on this art movement David Smith, director of SmithDavidson Gallery. Participation for these events is free.
