Yinarupa Nangala Indigenous Australian (Pintupi), b. 1959
37.8 x 30.7 inch
This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole site of Ngaminya, just to the south-west of the Kiwirrkura Community in Western Australia. A group of ancestral women made camp at this site before travelling to the rockhole site of Wirrulnga, east of the Kiwirrkura Community.
Please note that all First Nations Art is created from a so called ‘Birds Eye’ view. This means that the paintings can be hung either horizontally as well as vertically.
