This Spring, SmithDavidson Gallery is excited to highlight Marie Cecile Thijs' most iconic series the upcoming solo exhibition 'ICONS'.
With this exhibition Marie Cecile Thijs' most influential photographic works will be investigated through the work she has produced over the past two decades. The themes central to Marie Cecile's creative processes come together in the latest works presented during 'ICONS', including the unseen portrait 'Girl with Pearl Collar'.
Marie Cecile Thijs has been awarded Dutch artist of the Year 2024.
Works by the artist have been exhibited at Museum De Fundatie Zwolle, Museum aan het Vrijthof Maastricht, Rijks Museum Amsterdam, Soestdijk Royal Palace Baarn, Rembrandttoren Amsterdam, Museum Jan Cunen Oss & Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Richmond.
