about

In this painting, Merrilyn depicts the geographical features of her traditional homelands which surround Mount Liebig. Merrilyn is the daughter of Ngoia Pollard Napaltjarri and has observed her mother's style of painting for many years and paints in a similar vein. The curved lines in each corner represent tali (sand hills), the red roundels represent kumparapara (desert raisin) a fruit that is used to make damper.
